Role Summary
The Operations Head will be a key leadership role responsible for ensuring effective designing & execution of our programs, strengthening organizational systems and nurturing a values-driven culture. The individual will work closely with the Founder & CEO and consultant and advisors to shape strategy, oversee program planning & execution and build partnerships while keeping our vision and values at the center.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
-STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
Support the team in building and implementing long-term organizational strategy.
Collaborate with the Founder & CEO to refine and strengthen program strategies for Whole School Transformation (WST) and the Fellowship.
-WHOLE SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION (WST)
The Operations Head will lead the design, execution, and monitoring of Asaadharan’s Whole School Transformation model, which focuses on four interconnected pillars:
1. School Culture & Leadership
Strengthen school leadership (Headmasters, SMCs, Teacher leaders, Student Parliament).
Foster a culture of collaboration, reflection, and shared ownership across all stakeholders.
Ensure smooth execution of school clubs, assemblies, and student-led initiatives.
2. Teacher Development & Pedagogy
Oversee teacher training programs, including weekly staff meetings and Teacher’s Milaap.
Oversee and ensure the quality and effectiveness of school structures, teacher training programs, and student learning outcomes.
Provide actionable insights and feedback from on-ground operations to inform and strengthen organizational strategy.
3. Student Learning & Leadership
Ensure effective execution of Asaadharan’s EL (Edu-Leaders) classroom curriculum.
Oversee the quality and efficiency of classroom observations, debriefs, and academic monitoring carried out by program associates, while analyzing trends from these processes to inform program improvements and strategic decisions.
Design and support student leadership platforms (parliament, alumni network, clubs).
Track and Analyze student growth in academics, values, and leadership skills.
4. Parent & Community Engagement
Oversee the quality and impact of efforts by the team to strengthen SMCs and parent participation, ensuring insights inform strategy.
Ensure parents are active stakeholders in children’s learning journeys.
Build strong school-community linkages to sustain long-term transformation.
-PROGRAM OPERATIONS & QUALITY
Oversee program verticals – ensure effective execution of WST(Whole School Transformation) & Fellowship models.
Oversee the effectiveness of classroom observations, debrief cycles, and teaching-learning quality, while tracking best practices to inform strategy. Conduct research to know the best practices.
Innovate & Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow programs.
Design & Operationalise monitoring and evaluation using MELI tools for continuous improvement.
Plan & overlook school-level operations for quality execution of Asaadharan programs.
PEOPLE & TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Lead Teacher and EL training: Design and implement weekly capacity-building sessions.
Build teacher development programs such as Teacher’s Millaap, measure their impact, and make them replicable.
Provide continuous support to the program team through 1-1 check-ins, debriefs, and quarterly performance reviews.
Manage HR processes: Team leave tracking, policy adherence and team culture building.
Build a strong, values-driven team culture rooted in ownership and collaboration.
Lead recruitment and selection of ELs, volunteers, and program team members.
STAKEHOLDER & PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT
Collaborate with school teachers, principals, URCs and CRCs to have positive enforcement.
Strengthen partnerships and build new collaborations to advance Asaadharan’s mission.
Ensure interns and volunteers contribute meaningfully.
Overlook School Management Committee (SMC), student parliament and leadership initiatives at the school level.
STUDENT & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Ideate and build a Student Alumni Vertical to nurture long-term student leadership.
ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH & SELF-LEARNING
Build personal networks and bring them into Asaadharan’s ecosystem.
Focus on self-learning, personal growth and building relevant skills to strengthen leadership.
Support in maintaining team accounting and leave records.
Model reflective leadership and inspire the team by example.
Travel out of Surat to learn and visit other organisations for observations.

Qualifications & Experience
6+ years of experience in the development/education sector (preferred).
Experience in program strategy, people management, and operations.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Educational background in education, social sciences, law, or management is desirable.
Fluency in English and Hindi/Gujarati is an advantage.
