Job Summary/Objective:

Head of Engineering

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams; recruit, mentor, and retain top talent.
• Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Technology Management

• Make architectural decisions for scalability, security, and performance.
• Oversee code quality, technical debt management, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure appropriate use of modern development tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Execution & Delivery

• Own end-to-end delivery of products and features, ensuring timely execution.
• Implement efficient engineering processes, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams.

Stakeholder Communication

• Report engineering metrics, progress, and roadblocks to executive leadership.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear timelines and scope.
• Serve as a technical advisor to the leadership team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing distributed or cross-functional engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of scalable architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), DevOps practices, and modern tech stacks.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, system design, and technical project management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth tech environment.
• Track record of delivering B2B/B2C SaaS platforms or consumer-facing applications.
• Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and cybersecurity best practices.
