Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Note: Location Borivali (East) 1. Financial Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies. Generate financial reports and provide management with timely and accurate financial information. 2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable process, including reviewing and processing invoices, verifying expense reports, and issuing payments to vendors. Handle accounts receivable activities, such as generating customer invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on collections. Should have knowledge about Trial Balance till Finalisation. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances with general ledger accounts. 3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyse budget variances and provide explanations for deviations. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for achieving financial targets. 4. Tax Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax. Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Assist in tax audits and provide necessary documentation and support. 5. Audit and Internal Controls: Support the audit process by preparing financial statements, schedules, and supporting documents. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements. Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures. 6. Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Solid understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with ERP systems or financial management software is a plus. Prior experience in accounting or finance roles is beneficial.
