Role: Hardware Asset Management

Experience: 5- 7 Years

Location: Pune

Notice Period: Immediate- 15 Days

Mandatory Skills: HAM, Asset Lifecycle Management, ServiceNow ITAM, Procurement Management

Design:

• Proposes structure for asset database.
• Assists in Identifying relationships between various assets.
• Assist in identifying attributes for various assets.
• Assist in asset data standardization.
• Assists in identifying new asset types.
• Work with ITAM process owner to define, improve, operationalize ITAM process and policies.

Operations:

• Provision assets based on user request and entitlement.
• Maintains physical assets in stock working with facilities team.
• Ensure custody handover formalities are complete while handing over assets and receiving/reclaiming assets from user/asset owners.
• Obtain quotes from asset vendors or partners prior to procurement is pricing is not available.
• Raise purchase requests when required (i.e., for purchasing new assets or renewing assets etc.)
• Work with Contract negotiation team to create contracts with asset vendors when required.
• Engage intake process if requested asset is not part of the allowed list (Travelers standard asset catalog).
• Acknowledge asset purchase invoices after necessary checks and conformations.
• Maintain asset allowed list in a centralized location.
• Ensure new asset details are captured in the asset inventory.
• Track and Manage assets through lifecycle, ensure changes to assets is captured in asset inventory.
• Perform asset disposal activities such scheduling disposal jobs with vendor, organizing assets to be disposed, ensuring only assets to be disposed are picked by disposal vendor.
• Address ambiguity if any in disposal audit report from disposal vendor
• Track assets with low utilization and harvest them post necessary consent from asset owners.
• Receive and inspect new hardware assets shipped by the vendor.
• Take appropriate action in case the hardware assets shipped by the vendor is faulty/incomplete/incorrect.
• Ensure all hardware assets are tagged.
• Facilitate asset owners with asset renewals, refresh information.
• Work with configuration manager to identify attributes in the CMDB/Asset inventory that are under the ownership of asset management and configuration management.
• Ensure optimum utilization of assets.
• Conduct internal IT Asset audit to ensure accuracy of asset data and compliance.
• Work with finance, legal and other teams to effectively defend an external audit.

Governance:

• Review service commitments (if any), KPIs & metrics.
• Perform asset audits when required.
• Work with necessary teams to ensure publisher audit readiness.
• Conducts pre-review of reports related to assets.
• Identify policy or process violations and address the same.
