Hardware Asset Management

You will lead and manage a team of asset and configuration coordinators, developing and implementing asset management strategies and policies. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date asset records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and conducting regular audits for compliance with asset management policies. Collaboration with other departments to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs will be a key aspect of your role. You will also provide training and support to team members on asset management processes and tools, generate and present reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance, and manage vendor relationships while negotiating contracts for asset procurement and maintenance. It will be essential to ensure adherence to ITIL best practices in asset and configuration management. Technical skills required for this role include proficiency in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CM) tools, a strong understanding of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes, and experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems.
