As a Hardware Asset Management Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of asset and configuration coordinators. Your role involves developing and executing asset management strategies and policies, ensuring accurate record-keeping in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure compliance with asset management policies, and collaboration with other departments will be essential to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs. Key responsibilities include providing training and support to team members on asset management processes and tools, generating and presenting reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance, managing vendor relationships, and negotiating contracts for asset procurement and maintenance. Adherence to ITIL best practices in asset and configuration management is crucial for this role. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CM) tools, a strong understanding of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes, and experience working with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems.
