Hardware Asset Management

As a Lead Asset and Configuration Coordinator at our organization, your role will involve managing a team of asset and configuration coordinators. You will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies and policies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets - Ensuring accurate and up-to-date asset records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) - Conducting regular audits for compliance with asset management policies - Collaborating with other departments to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs Additionally, your role will require you to provide training and support to team members on asset management processes and tools. You will generate and present reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance. Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for asset procurement and maintenance will also be part of your responsibilities. It is crucial to adhere to ITIL best practices in asset and configuration management. Technical skills required for this role include proficiency in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CM) tools, a strong understanding of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes, and experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems.
