Job Description

Position Overview

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) in Project Engineering, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the 3D design, coordination, factory and site level inspection and execution support for smart irrigation and water supply infrastructure projects. This role offers comprehensive exposure across the project lifecycle from design and documentation to on-ground implementation enabling you to develop practical skills and contribute to impactful infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

Engineering Support:
  • Prepare technical documents, BOQ, presentations, design, reports, manuals, and other related materials.

Coordination And Communication

  • Collaborate with different departments, site engineers, vendors, end customers, and management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate with vendors during manufacturing and support site engineers in project implementation.

Site Visits

  • Collaborate with different departments, site engineers, vendors, end customers, and management to ensure smooth project execution.

Factory And Site Inspections

  • Participate in pre-dispatch inspections at the manufacturing facility to verify product compliance with specifications.
  • Support site engineers during mechanical installation, OMS/SCADA integration, and commissioning phases.
  • Document observations and inspection findings to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Execution And Field Support

  • Travel to project sites to assist in field layout verification, material delivery checks, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-ground engineering support during key stages like OMS installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Capture and relay field learnings to design and engineering teams for continual improvement.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date engineering documentation including as-built drawings, inspection checklists, and commissioning reports.
  • Support in preparing technical presentations, progress reports, and installation manuals.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation.
  • 0-1 Yrs. experience (including internships or academic project work in a related domain).
  • Familiarity Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and basic engineering calculations.
  • Strong communication skills, and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to prepare and manage technical documents and reports.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites for project needs.
  • Adaptability to work in office, factory, and field settings as per project needs.
