Specific Job Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification:
- Identifying potential suppliers capable of meeting the quality, regulatory, and supply requirements for FDF in regulated markets.
- Assessing the suitability of suppliers based on factors such as quality standards, regulatory compliance, capacity, reliability, and financial stability.
Supplier Qualification and Onboarding:
- Developing and implementing a robust supplier qualification process to ensure that selected suppliers meet the necessary standards and regulations.
- Establishing contractual agreements and terms with selected suppliers, including quality agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and confidentiality agreements.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers based on trust, transparency, and collaboration.
- Regularly communicating with suppliers to understand their capabilities, performance, and any potential issues or concerns.
- Addressing supplier-related issues promptly and effectively, including quality issues, supply disruptions, and changes in regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identifying and assessing risks associated with third-party suppliers, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, regulatory compliance issues, and geopolitical factors.
- Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of supplier-related risks on FDF manufacturing and supply.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitoring supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of supplier relationships to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensuring that all third-party suppliers comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and other applicable regulations.
- Keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and guiding suppliers in maintaining compliance.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including quality assurance, regulatory affairs, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams, to ensure alignment and coordination in supplier management activities.
- Providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams on supplier-related issues and initiatives.
Strategic Planning:
- Developing and executing a strategic roadmap for third-party supplier management aligned with the overall business objectives and supply chain strategy.
- Identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation, rationalization, and strategic partnerships to optimize the supplier base and drive efficiencies.
Overall, the role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and supply chain dynamics, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant Professional / Educational Background, Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in dealing with suppliers
supplying FDF to
regulated markets
like US, EU and others . Exposure to supply chain, procurement , Out licensing , related product/technology, - 15-20 years of broad and deep product/supply chain/ Technology Transfer/ business planning experience for regulated Markets
- 10+ years of people and & 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team project.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage key stakeholders, resolve problems and seek practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Project Management, Analytical skills, Presentation skills, Data Governance. highly desired for this role.
- A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas in supply chain.
- Hands-on leadership experience moving fluidly from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation.
