Roles and Responsibilities. 1. Strategic Planning & Leadership • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals. • Lead and motivate departmental heads (production, quality, design, purchase, HR, etc.). • Plan long-term growth, profitability, and productivity improvements. ________________________________________ 2. Operations Management • Oversee day-to-day plant operations and ensure smooth workflow. • Monitor production schedules, quality standards, and delivery timelines. • Ensure optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials. • Implement continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, lean manufacturing). ________________________________________ 3. Financial & Budget Control • Prepare annual budgets and monitor cost control. • Approve major expenditures and ensure profitability targets are met. • Analyse financial performance and take corrective action when required. ________________________________________ 4. Human Resource & Team Management • Manage and guide department heads and senior staff. • Ensure recruitment, training, and performance evaluation systems are effective. • Maintain discipline, teamwork, and employee motivation. ________________________________________ 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance • Ensure adherence to ISO, statutory, and customer-specific quality standards. • Oversee safety measures and environmental compliance in the factory. • Review and approve quality improvement and audit reports. ________________________________________ 6. Client & Vendor Relations • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. • Negotiate major contracts, pricing, and supply agreements. • Approve vendor selections and evaluate supplier performance. ________________________________________ 7. Project & Engineering Oversight • Supervise new product development, design, and process improvement projects. • Approve technical plans, layouts, and machinery investments. • Ensure coordination between engineering, production, and sales teams. ________________________________________ 8. Reporting & Performance Review • Review monthly performance reports from all departments. • Present management reports to directors or board members. • Track KPIs – production output, efficiency, rejection rate, delivery performance, etc. ________________________________________ 9. Decision-Making & Problem Solving • Handle critical issues in production, quality, manpower, or customer complaints. • Make data-driven decisions to support company objectives. ________________________________________ 10.
