Role Overview:


The General Manager – Digital Marketing will lead SMGC’s digital transformation, shaping and executing a bold online strategy to strengthen our mission, mobilize donors and volunteers, and engage communities. This is a strategic and hands-on role, combining leadership, digital campaign management, and team mentoring.


What You’ll Lead:


Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies aligned with awareness, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and advocacy goals.
  • Lead and mentor a digital team (content writer, designer, interns).
  • Embed digital thinking across programs, fundraising, and leadership.
  • Manage budget, vendors, and ROI while fostering a digital-first culture.


Website & SEO

  • Optimize website for SEO, UX, and conversions.
  • Implement analytics to track KPIs and improve performance.
  • Ensure website content aligns with user needs and mission.


Social Media & Content Marketing

  • Define content strategy and oversee campaigns across platforms.
  • Ensure storytelling reflects impact and resonates with our audience..
  • Maintain brand consistency and manage a content calendar.


Fundraising & Campaigns

  • Utilize Google Ad Grants, paid ads, and email campaigns to drive donations and visibility.
  • Partner with programs and fundraising teams to translate initiatives into digital campaigns.
  • Manage donor engagement platforms and campaign performance.


Analytics & Reporting

  • Track KPIs and produce actionable monthly performance reports.
  • Continuously test and optimize campaigns.
  • Evaluate and adopt new digital tools to improve impact.


Partnerships & Outreach

  • Collaborate with influencers, digital volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Build media and community relationships relevant to the cause.


Digital Infrastructure & Tools

  • Oversee CRM, email marketing, automation, analytics, and donation tools.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and accessibility regulations.
  • Drive integration across digital systems for better supporter engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
  • 5-10 years in digital marketing, preferably in non-profits or global impact organizations.
  • Proven expertise in SEO, SEM, paid campaigns, analytics, and digital tools.
  • Experience leading creative teams and aligning them with strategy.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and project management skills.
  • Passion for non-profit work and commitment to advancing the organization’s mission and impact.


Compensation:

Competitive within India’s philanthropy/social impact sector, remuneration commensurate with experience.
