About The Role
The Migration Leader is responsible for the planning, execution, and governance of all transitions into the GBS organization. This role ensures seamless migration of activities from markets, factories, and functions into GBS delivery centres, with minimal disruption to the business and full alignment to strategic objectives.Acting as the overall program lead for migrations, the Migration Leader orchestrates cross-functional teams including process, change, HR, and technology, while maintaining strong relationships with local market stakeholders and leadership. This role is critical in ensuring readiness, driving performance during transition, and embedding new ways of working through structured governance and risk management.Your responsibilities
- Own end-to-end transition planning and delivery across all waves and geographies.
- Ensure timely completion of pre-migration, knowledge transfer, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
- Govern adherence to transition playbooks, timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead weekly cross-wave forums, stage gate reviews, and escalation processes.
- Maintain the overall end-to-end RAID log for all in-scope transitions and lead issue resolution.
- Drive milestone tracking, reporting, and exception management through formal governance routines.
- Support stage gate preparation and approvals in collaboration with program leads and senior stakeholders.
- Align with functional GBS leads (Finance, Supply, Commercial, HR) and enabling teams (People, Change, Technology).
- Ensure integrated planning with recruitment, training, system access, and infrastructure workstreams.
- Lead the interface with local markets to confirm scope, sequencing, and readiness criteria.
- Monitor service ramp-up metrics, including SLA achievement, knowledge transfer quality, and early delivery KPIs.
- Coordinate mitigation plans for recruitment gaps, onboarding challenges, or process readiness concerns.
- Ensure successful handover from transition to BAU service delivery through structured exit criteria.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale business transformation or shared services programs.
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end transitions across multiple geographies.
- Strong program management skills with experience in planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- High comfort with cross-functional coordination, issue resolution, and managing ambiguity.
- Excellent communication and leadership presence across senior stakeholder groups.
- PMP or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience in FMCG or other global, matrixed organizations.
- Understanding of service delivery models, SLAs, and operating model design.
- Familiarity with shared services migration frameworks
