Garment Merchandiser (Apparel)

About The Opportunity

Primary Job Title:

Location:

• Manage end-to-end order lifecycle: follow up on POs from sample approval to bulk production, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to lead-times.
• Coordinate with design/tech pack teams to confirm specifications, measurements, trims and construction details; drive sample approvals and pre-production meetings.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships—negotiate costs, confirm capacity, schedule production and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
• Lead production monitoring and quality checks (in-line and final inspections), resolve non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to meet AQL targets.
• Prepare and manage export documentation, coordinate with logistics for bookings/shipments, and ensure compliance with Incoterms and buyer requirements.
• Maintain accurate production trackers and dashboards; work with ERP/PLM and procurement teams to optimise material flow and reduce lead times and costs.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile, Apparel Merchandising, Commerce or related field plus 2+ years merchandising experience in garment manufacturing or export.
• Hands-on knowledge of garment construction, tech packs/specs, size charts and quality standards; proven PO and production follow-up experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), experience with ERP/PLM systems and comfortable maintaining production trackers and shipment schedules.
  

Preferred

• Experience with export documentation, Incoterms, vendor audits and AQL-based quality control; prior exposure to knit and/or woven product lines.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams under tight timelines.
