As we scale, we are looking to onboard an experienced and SEBI-compliant Fund Manager to lead investment strategy, execution, and portfolio oversight for one or more AIF schemes.

About the Role

As a Fund Manager – AIF, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the fund including deal sourcing, due diligence, investment structuring, portfolio monitoring, investor reporting, and compliance adherence. This is a senior strategic role requiring a balance of financial acumen, sector expertise, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fund strategy formulation in line with the fund’s objective, investor expectations, and market conditions.

• Source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities aligned with the fund mandate.

• Conduct due diligence (financial, legal, operational) on prospective investments.

• Negotiate and structure investments, exit strategies, and manage portfolio performance.

• Liaise with legal advisors, auditors, custodians, and other fund service providers.

• Oversee portfolio valuation, periodic NAV disclosures, and performance metrics.

• Present investment memoranda to the investment committee and manage internal governance protocols.

• Ensure strict adherence to SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012, PPM disclosures, risk mitigation frameworks, and leverage guidelines.

• Maintain investor communication, reporting, and engagement at regular intervals.

• Work closely with the Compliance Officer and Trustee for PPM audits, CTRs, and regulatory filings.

• Provide leadership to analysts and investment teams across verticals or strategies.

Must-Have Eligibility (as per SEBI AIF Regulations)

Certification Requirement:

- Candidate must have passed the NISM-Series-XIX-C: Alternative Investment Fund Managers Certification Examination

or

NISM-Series-XIX-D: AIF Managers Certification for Category I and II AIFs (as applicable to fund strategy)

(Valid certification is mandatory as per SEBI circular SEBI/HO/IMD-IMDI/DOF3/P/CIR/2023/155 dated September 12, 2023)

Educational Qualification:

- Graduate (minimum); Post-graduate/MBA/CFA preferred

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in fund management, portfolio management, investment advisory, or related financial services

- Proven experience handling AIF/PE/VC/Structured Investment mandates preferred

• Deep knowledge of AIF structure, SEBI regulations, and investment lifecycle

• Experience with real estate/private equity/VC portfolios

• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills

• Ability to lead end-to-end deal execution independently

• Familiarity with PPM, due diligence checklists, investment committee protocols

• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills

• Exposure to governance frameworks, risk management, and exit strategies

• Leadership mindset with a collaborative execution approach
