Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a results-driven professional to lead and optimize our ocean freight operations across the region.

This role will be responsible for improving productivity across commercial and operational teams by driving efficient load planning, managing CFS (Buyer Consolidation) processes, and ensuring seamless coordination between origin and destination functions.

Key responsibilities include managing vendor alignment, overseeing booking and documentation processes, supervising carrier allocation, and driving utilization performance.

The role also involves supporting global account management, implementing process improvement initiatives, and leading regional projects related to operational excellence.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on continuous improvement and customer experience are essential.

Ensure optimal implementation and compliance of carrier allocation plans across all origin locations.

Maintain transparency on carrier allocation performance through regular reporting and dashboards.

Lead discussions with carriers to address allocation compliance issues and coordinate ongoing planning.

Establish and manage escalation processes to address non-compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Provide structured support to the management team through clear allocation frameworks and performance overviews.

Oversee training for origin country teams on allocation compliance, monitoring tools, and reporting practices.

Maintain operational oversight of key deliverables to ensure high-quality customer service.

Direct cargo planning in line with ocean carrier commitments and allocation agreements.

Escalate compliance or performance issues to Country Heads and Regional Trade Teams as needed.

Monitor and address non-compliance, initiating corrective actions where required.

Provide regular performance summaries and compliance reports to senior management.

Skills/Qualifications

• Must have at least 3-5 years' experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding management
• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities
• Good communication and leadership skills as the role requires frequent communication to various directions and all management levels
• Allocation and tools knowledge and experience in their application
• Good ocean carriers’ relationship and engagement
• Result & solution orientated
• Team player whilst also being a self-starter
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Tertiary education
• Excellent MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
