Job Description

Job Summary:

The Production Floor Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor, ensuring manufacturing goals are met in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. This role involves leading and motivating production staff, enforcing company policies, and continuously improving processes to meet production targets and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and lead production team members on the floor.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production employees; provide ongoing coaching and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of production outputs, downtime, material usage, and employee attendance.
  • Address and resolve issues or conflicts that may arise on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Enforce and support 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime, if required.
  • Proficient in using production management software and MS Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures depending on the facility.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with ERP systems or digital production tracking tools.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,500.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
