We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Floor Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day floor operations and ensure seamless production and process flow. Role Overview: The Floor Manager will be responsible for supervising daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will coordinate with multiple departments including engineering, quality, and inventory, and lead a team of technicians and operators. Key Responsibilities: Team Supervision: Manage, guide, and motivate floor staff including operators, technicians, and line leads. Production Oversight: Monitor and ensure the timely execution of daily production schedules. Process Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and drive improvements to increase productivity and efficiency. Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards and collaborate with QA/QC teams for timely inspections. Resource Management: Manage inventory, tools, and floor equipment; coordinate with stores and procurement for required materials. Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and incidents are reported and addressed promptly. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain production records, shift reports, and escalate issues to senior management. Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, R&D, HR, and Admin for smooth floor operations and workforce planning. Training & Development: Organize and oversee the training of new staff and cross-train team members on multiple roles as required. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly floor operations, preferably in robotics, automation, or electronics industries. Strong leadership and team management skills. Sound knowledge of production planning, quality processes, and workplace safety. Proficient in using ERP systems and MS Office. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a robotics, R&D, or technology manufacturing company. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
