Job Summary:

The Finishing Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of all finishing and interior fit-out works on construction projects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, exceptional coordination skills, and a steadfast commitment to quality assurance. The ideal candidate will lead a team of site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring all project finishing activities are completed to the highest standards, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Execution and Management:

·        Supervise and manage the execution of all finishing trades, including but not limited to gypsum and sand plaster, tiling, flooring, waterproofing, painting, false ceiling, carpentry, and aluminum fabrication.

·        Lead the coordination of all finishing activities with internal teams, project managers, architects, and external vendors to maintain a seamless workflow and adherence to project specifications.

·        Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure all finishing work meets approved quality standards and specifications.

·        Resolve any on-site technical difficulties or issues that arise during the finishing stages.

Planning and Resource Management:

·        Develop and manage comprehensive monthly, weekly, and daily work plans for all finishing activities, including material procurement, manpower allocation, and site activities.

·        Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and indents for material purchases, ensuring the timely availability of necessary resources on site.

·        Track material consumption and calculate wastage to optimize resource use and manage costs effectively.

·        Verify the reinforcement and formwork of structural components against approved drawings to prevent potential errors.

Quality and Documentation:

·        Execute and oversee all finishing tasks, upholding strict quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and conduct concrete reconciliation as necessary.

·        Verify the centerline and dimensional parameters of all structural components according to survey points and approved pour cards.

·        Prepare and maintain all necessary project documentation, including Monthly Reports, Minutes of Meetings (MOM), checklists, and other paperwork required for quality management and ISO documentation.

·        Maintain accurate daily reports of project activities and communicate project status to senior management.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

·        Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to site teams and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.

·        Ensure all team members and contractors adhere to strict health and safety standards on site.

·        Conduct final checking and inspection of completed work, preparing snag lists for rectification.

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil and finishing works.

·        Extensive knowledge of various finishing trades, including plastering, tiling, painting, waterproofing, and false ceiling.

·        Proven expertise in structural components, including formwork, reinforcement, and concrete work.

·        Strong proficiency in construction site execution, QA/QC processes, and project documentation.

·        Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
