About the Role:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end processes within their scope, ensuring compliance with global and local accounting standards. The role involves close collaboration with senior finance members across local and overseas offices to enhance financial procedures and streamline processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management and financial accounts, and review monthly results for entities.
  • Perform calculation, review, and approval of accounting entries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenue and expenses.
  • Manage indirect and operational tax-related activities if required.
  • Provide information for group reporting, including financial statement notes.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, including preparation and review of reconciliations.
  • Recommend process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and IFRS, making necessary adjustments.
  • Provide technical support on accounting treatments for accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and remediation of audit findings.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders (treasury, tax, finance ops) and external auditors.
  • Review monthly reconciliations (accruals, prepaid, property, inter-company accounts).
  • Document and maintain processes under own responsibility.
  • Handle internal and external ad hoc requests promptly.


Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in GL/R2R.
  • Commerce Graduate (BCom / MCom Finance).
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, statements, and risks related to balance sheet positions.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • International experience/corporate environment exposure is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken).
