Our team is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide OPEX support to the Network Platform Engineering team. This role provides the unique opportunity to help support the forecasting and reporting for several business units withing the engineering organization. Solid organizational, financial modeling, communication, influencing, and business partnering skills will help you find success in this role. Role description: With the consolidation of the Meraki BE into their respective PINs, our FP&A team is absorbing the Networking Platform COGS management. This req specifically will be supporting the Meraki Tech Support team that provides customer support to all Meraki devices.
Your Impact
Budgeting and Opex Management - Support leadership prioritization and decision making, portfolio planning, annual budgeting and quarterly commit processes, month-end and quarterly close activities, forecasting/reporting/variance analysis, driving compliance.
- Provide Finance support to and manage a budget of ~$25M per quarter.
- Maintain bottoms-up forecast models and communicate forecast and results to business partners on a bi-weekly basis.
- Drive forecast accuracy throughout the quarter to ensure the team spends to the commit target.
- Assist the business on various accounting treatments and their impact on the forecast.
- Be responsible for the month-end close process, including accruals, and assess risks/opportunities in the forecast.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency.
- Monitor and track performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to present performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Support change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their objectives and align OPEX initiatives with business goals.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams, ensuring a shared understanding of challenges and opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business-related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Intermediate Excel skills is required
- Experience with finance tools such as Essbase, Business Objects, FinABC, Budget Tool, SI (Systems Integrator)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous OpEx or COGS Experience is preferred
- Experience in PowerBI, Tableau or other finance tools for building dashboards
