Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative to drive the sales and distribution of our premium affordable alkaline water products within the General Trade segment across Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the local market dynamics. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, building strong retailer relationships, and achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Distribution: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for alkaline water products within the assigned Ahmedabad general trade territory. Identify, prospect, and onboard new retail outlets (kirana stores, provisional stores, pharmacies, etc.) to expand product availability and market penetration. Manage and nurture existing retailer relationships, ensuring regular order taking, stock management, and merchandising support. Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to drive product visibility and off-take at the retail level. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges. Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with store owners, managers, and key decision-makers. Provide excellent customer service and address retailer queries or concerns promptly and professionally. Educate retailers on the features, benefits, and unique selling propositions of our alkaline water products. Merchandising & Visibility: Ensure optimal product placement, display, and visibility within retail outlets. Negotiate for prime shelf space and execute merchandising guidelines effectively. Utilize point-of-sale (POS) materials to enhance product appeal and drive impulse purchases. Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback. Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, competitor analysis, and market insights. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop effective sales strategies. Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, promotions, and new product launches. Provide feedback to the sales management team on market trends, consumer preferences, and product development opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in FMCG sales, specifically within the General Trade channel in Ahmedabad. Prior experience selling beverages or health-related products is a significant advantage. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Proficient in local language (Gujarati and Hindi) and English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized. Knowledge of the Ahmedabad geographical area and retail landscape. Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within Ahmedabad. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite - Word, Excel).
