Job Title : Sales Officer – Hygiene Products Location : Bangalore Experience : 2-4 years Industry : Hygiene/FMCG Reports to : Area Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager Job Summary : We are looking for a Sales Officer with experience in the hygiene sector (sanitary pads, diapers, Tissues or related products) to drive both primary and secondary sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appointing and managing distributors, increasing market penetration, and ensuring business growth in the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities : Distributor Appointment & Management : Identify, appoint, and manage distributors in the assigned territory. Build strong relationships with distributors to ensure proper market coverage. Provide regular updates to distributors on product availability, pricing, and promotions. Primary Sales : Achieve primary sales targets by selling hygiene products to appointed distributors. Plan and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals. Secondary Sales : Ensure effective secondary sales by collaborating with distributors and retailers. Conduct regular market visits to monitor stock availability and assess market demand. Execute promotional campaigns to drive product visibility and retail sales. Market Analysis & Reporting : Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new product launches in the hygiene sector. Provide sales reports and market insights to management on a regular basis. Customer Engagement : Build relationships with retailers and key customers to ensure product placement and satisfaction. Resolve distributor and customer issues in a timely and professional manner. Sales Promotions & Campaigns : Participate in the planning and execution of promotional activities, such as trade shows, product demonstrations, and in-store promotions. Ensure product merchandising standards are met. Key Skills : Proven experience in appointing and managing distributors. Strong knowledge of primary and secondary sales processes. Ability to work independently and drive results. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical skills to understand market trends and sales performance. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hygiene or FMCG sector. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fluency in local languages is a plus.
