Job Role Purpose

CARLTON London is expanding its Hotel Brand Licensing business in India. We are looking to build the Field Operations Team responsible for on-ground hotel inspections, owner meetings, brand presentations, and compliance assessments.

This role is field-intensive and plays a critical part in converting independent hotels into CARLTON-licensed hotels by ensuring brand fit, operational feasibility, and owner alignment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Hotel Site Visits & Inspections

  • Conduct on-site inspections of existing and upcoming hotels across assigned regions
  • Evaluate properties against CARLTON brand standards:
  • Room size & layout
  • Lobby & common areas
  • Service infrastructure
  • Maintenance, hygiene & safety
  • Capture inspection reports, photographs, and compliance gaps
  • Prepare Brand Fit Assessment Reports

2. Hotel Owner & Management Engagement

  • Meet hotel owners, promoters, and senior management
  • Explain CARLTON Hotel Licensing Model (license fee, royalty, brand benefits)
  • Present the CARLTON brand deck professionally
  • Answer commercial, operational, and brand-related queries
  • Build long-term relationships with hotel owners

3. Brand Presentation & Conversion Support

  • Deliver face-to-face presentations using CARLTON licensing presentation
  • Position CARLTON as a premium British lifestyle hotel brand
  • Support the sales team in conversion discussions
  • Coordinate with internal teams for:
  • Commercial proposals
  • Brand onboarding
  • Agreement signing support

4. Brand Standards & Compliance Checks

  • Conduct pre-signing and post-signing inspections
  • Ensure adherence to:
  • Branding guidelines
  • Logo usage & signage
  • Guest experience standards
  • Track compliance deviations and recommend corrective actions
  • Support periodic brand audits

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare structured:
  • Inspection reports
  • Owner meeting summaries
  • Follow-up action trackers
  • Maintain database of:
  • Visited hotels
  • Inspection status
  • Conversion stage
  • Share weekly & monthly field reports with management

6. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with:
  • Brand & design team
  • Sales & licensing team
  • Legal & contracts team
  • Act as the bridge between hotel owners and CARLTON HQ

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

  • Graduate / Post-graduate in:
  • Hotel Management
  • Hospitality
  • Business Administration
  • Operations / Tourism (preferred)

  • 7. Preferred Industry / Company Background (Very Important)

    hospitality platforms, hotel chains, or

    • OYO Hotels & Homes (strongly preferred)
    • Treebo Hotels
    • FabHotels
    • Lemon Tree Red / Keys Select
    • Bloom Hotels
    • Ginger Hotels
    • StayVista
    • Zostel (for boutique property exposure)


    8. Experience

    • 4–5 years

      of experience in:
    • Hotel operations
    • Quality audits
    • Brand standards / franchise operations
    • Cluster hotel operations
    • Hospitality consulting
    • Experience with:
    • Branded hotel chains
    • Boutique or lifestyle hotels
    • Pre-opening / conversion projects (preferred)


    9. Skills & Competencies

    • Strong

    Reporting To

    Working Days

    • Positions are required in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore

    Salary Package

    • Your Approximate Salary package will be 7 Lakhs to 9 Lakhs PA
