Field Application Specialist

As an Application Specialist at Sartorius, your role is crucial in providing product expertise, application knowledge, and technical support throughout the customer's process. You will also be responsible for bringing technical expertise and market knowledge to the sales team. Your main missions include ensuring successful design, validation, and implementation of products, supporting sales for product design, positioning, and demonstration, as well as assisting customers with application development work, initial startups, and training. **Main Responsibilities & Tasks:** - Support the sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations, and application studies. - Collaborate with product management on new products through beta site testing and demonstrations. - Drive sales target achievement in the defined territory for the assigned product line. - Assist sales in the customer process and URS analysis, and conduct application trials to optimize products according to application requirements. - Proactively provide technical support, address inquiries, and resolve implementation problems in the field for customers. - Aid the quality department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customer processes for better investigation and resolution. - Analyze data on the assigned product line performance and customer feedback to identify necessary product feature changes. - Report competitors" products and feedback information to the application specialist and product management. - Deliver basic product training to internal sales and dealers, and conduct external customer workshops and seminars. - Conduct trials and demos to achieve desired results and create trial reports for product management and sales teams. - Collaborate with interfaces to define trial scope, acceptance criteria, and build professional trial reports. **Qualification & Skills:** - Hold an academic degree in biological engineering, biotechnology, or other life sciences related field. - Familiarity with life science application experiment technology and understanding of hot research topics is advantageous. - Previous experience in a similar position and industry is beneficial. - Knowledge of related products, laboratory processes, and equipment. - Strong learning ability and expert knowledge in this domain. - Ability to effectively interact with product, project, and division management. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Customer-oriented approach. - Proficiency in software skills such as Microsoft Office. - Fluency in English and ideally in other local languages.
