Factory Manager

Job Summary

The Factory Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end factory operations, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, cost control, safety, and timely delivery. The role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, production processes, and people management.

Operations & Production

• Plan and control daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials
• Improve productivity through process optimization and continuous improvement

Quality & Process Control

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
• Coordinate with QA/QC to minimize defects, rework, and wastage
• Implement corrective and preventive actions

Maintenance & Engineering

• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Ensure high machine availability and reduced downtime
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrading of machinery

Safety, Compliance & Statutory

• Ensure compliance with factory acts, safety, and environmental norms
• Promote safe working practices and conduct safety audits

Cost & Inventory Control

• Monitor manufacturing costs and drive cost-reduction initiatives
• Control inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and motivate production, maintenance, and supervisory teams
• Conduct performance reviews and skill development programs

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare production and performance reports for management
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, HR, and logistics teams

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• 10–15 years of experience in factory / plant operations
• Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing and mechanical systems

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery
• Leadership and people management skills
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in ERP and production planning tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
