Job Description

Production and operations management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fabrication floor, ensuring all production schedules and deadlines are met. Team leadership and development: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of production staff, supervisors, and engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and teamwork. Process optimization and continuous improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Quality control: Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve product defects and process inefficiencies. Health and safety: Promote and enforce strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Resource and inventory management: Oversee the procurement, inventory, and utilization of raw materials and equipment to prevent shortages and control costs. Budgeting and cost control: Develop, manage, and report on the fabrication department's budget, ensuring cost-effective production and resource allocation. Cross-functional coordination: Liaise with other departments, including engineering, design, supply chain, and sales, to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals. Equipment management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, and recommend new equipment or technology to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Data analysis and reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management on production status, performance, and issues.
