Fabrication Production Head

Role & responsibilities

The Fabrication Production Head will oversee and manage all fabrication production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating production processes while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and technical expertise in metal fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Management

• Develop and execute production schedules based on customer orders and deadlines.
• Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production goals efficiently.
• Monitor production progress and resolve issues to ensure targets are achieved.

2. Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to quality standards at every stage of fabrication.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) team to conduct inspections and audits.
• Implement corrective actions for non-conformities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise a team of production staff, including welders, machinists, and assemblers.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to build a skilled workforce.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety within the production department.

4. Technical Oversight

• Troubleshoot technical challenges in fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, bending, and machining.
• Optimize processes for cost-efficiency, waste reduction, and enhanced productivity.
• Stay updated with advancements in fabrication technology and implement best practices.

5. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

6. Reporting and Analysis

• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams for seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Education

  :Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.A diploma or certification in fabrication or welding technology is a plus.

• Experience

  :Minimum15+ years of experience in fabrication production, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

• Skills

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding, CNC machining, and assembly.
• Proficiency in production planning, resource management, and workflow optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems, CAD/CAM tools).
