Job Purpose

The Export Manager will be responsible for driving the company’s international sales growth by identifying new export business opportunities — generating leads, engaging prospects, closing export orders, and building strong long-term relationships with global customers and partners. The role will involve strategizing entry into new markets, representing the company internationally, and managing export sales cycles from lead generation to order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

Identify, source, and qualify new international leads and business opportunities in target regions (e.g., Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, USA, etc.).

Build and maintain relationships with international buyers, distributors, agents, and end customers.

Actively pursue new orders for products such as duplex stainless steels, special alloys and other specialized steel products.

Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and pricing strategies.

Plan and execute strategies for expanding the company’s export footprint and increase global market share.

Client Engagement & Negotiation

Initiate conversations with potential clients, effectively present company capabilities and product offerings.

Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules and terms of payment to secure profitable orders.

Prepare and present professional proposals, quotations and sales offers.

Act as the primary point of contact for international customers and ensure excellent customer service.

Export Order Management

Coordinate with internal teams — production, logistics, quality, and finance — to ensure timely delivery and compliance with customer specifications.

Track progress of export orders, shipments, documentation and ensure smooth execution.

Ensure all export sales are recorded and updated in the company’s CRM or sales tracking systems.

Compliance & Documentation

Understand and comply with applicable export regulations, documentation, shipping terms, and customs requirements for various markets.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant shipments.

Representation & Marketing

Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase products and generate leads.

Support marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing brand visibility and generating qualified export inquiries.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Engineering, or related field. MBA (International Business/Sales) is preferred.

3–8+ years of experience in export sales / international business development, preferably in steel, metal, engineering, or industrial products.

Skills

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Proven track record in B2B sales and closing export contracts.

Ability to develop and maintain international customer relationships.

Knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms, freight forwarding, compliance and international trade processes.

Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
