- Job Title: Well-being Associate / Counsellor – EY India Reports to: Well-being Manager, EY India Function: Health & Well-being, Talent Team Location: PAN India (Hybrid) Role Summary The Well-being Associate / Counsellor will play a frontline role in supporting EY India’s EY Cares framework, focusing on early intervention, employee counselling, and case coordination. The role requires a strong foundation in counselling or psychology, empathy in client handling, and operational excellence in managing high-risk and sensitive situations. This position supports the Chief Well-being Officer and Well-being Manager in implementing the Well-being Ally Program, the High-Risk Well-being Playbook, and the Well-being Hub — ensuring that employees receive timely, confidential, and compassionate support. Key Responsibilities Employee Support and Counselling Provide confidential, short-term counselling and emotional support to employees facing personal, work-related, or mental health challenges. Conduct initial assessments and triage cases appropriately, referring complex cases to external EAP partners or mental health professionals. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with EY’s data protection and ethical standards. Case and Crisis Management Support the implementation of the High-Risk Well-being Playbook, coordinating closely with HR, the EAP, and medical professionals. Assist in identifying risk factors and escalating cases promptly to the Well-being Manager or Chief Well-being Officer. Ensure continuity of care through follow-ups, documentation, and tracking of support outcomes. Program and Awareness Support Assist in rolling out well-being awareness sessions, mental health campaigns, and the Well-being Ally Program. Curate and contribute to well-being resources, newsletters, and internal communication platforms such as the Well-being Hub. Support the onboarding and training of new Well-being Allies and champions across regions. Data and Reporting Track counselling utilisation, case trends, and thematic insights for inclusion in quarterly well-being dashboards. Identify emerging themes or stressors within the workforce and share data-led observations for proactive intervention. Skills and Experience Essential 3–6 years of experience in counselling, clinical psychology, or employee assistance roles. Master’s degree in Psychology / Counselling / Social Work (mandatory). Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Experience in handling employee or client-facing mental health support in a corporate or EAP setting. Preferred Experience working with digital well-being platforms or EAP systems. Exposure to organisational well-being initiatives or mental health advocacy. Knowledge of CBT, MBCT, or trauma-informed approaches. Attributes Emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and skilled at building trust. Strong ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential information. Passionate about helping people thrive through care, connection, and self-awareness.
