Florida Hometex is a reputed home furnishing and kids garments manufacturer based in Ludhiana, Punjab. We specialize in high-quality blankets, bed sheets, and textile products that combine craftsmanship with modern production methods. With our expanding workforce and growing distribution network, we are looking for a responsible and versatile professional to support the Managing Director in overseeing day-to-day business operations.

Role Overview

The Assistant to Managing Director will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth coordination across departments, handling factory operations, managing vendor and labour relationships, maintaining accounts in Tally, and assisting the Managing Director with reporting and follow-ups.
This is a multi-functional role suited for someone reliable, organized, and comfortable working closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily factory operations, labour attendance, and overall floor discipline.
  • Coordinate with production, dispatch, and procurement teams for timely workflow.
  • Manage and report daily production, stock, and raw material usage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, handling orders, deliveries, and payment follow-ups.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels using Tally and Excel.
  • Verify vendor bills and assist in purchase tracking and expense control.

Accounts & Administrative Support

  • Handle day-to-day accounting in Tally: purchase, sales, journal, and expense entries.
  • Maintain petty cash, prepare expense summaries, and track outstanding payments.
  • Assist in preparing MIS reports, financial summaries, and data for management.
  • Liaise with external accountants or CA for reconciliation and compliance.
  • Support the Managing Director with administrative tasks, scheduling, and documentation.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for review by the Managing Director.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely execution of decisions.
  • Follow up on assigned tasks and ensure completion within deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field (B.Com / BBA required)
  • Postgraduate degree preferredM.Com / MBA (Finance or Operations).
  • Experience: 2–5 years in manufacturing, trading, or similar setup.
  • Strong command of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of labour coordination, stock control, and vendor management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.
  • Must be organized, trustworthy, and proactive in assisting management decisions.
