Job Description

Estate Manager with a Civil Engineering background

Key responsibilities include supervising estate operations, coordinating with construction teams for site support, managing vendors and contractors, preparing budgets, and ensuring smooth upkeep of civil structures, site offices, and common amenities. The Estate Manager will also handle documentation, cost control, material verification and people management for estate-related services.

Role Overview

The Estate Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the estate and infrastructure-related activities of the construction site. With a strong civil engineering background, the role requires ensuring efficient upkeep, maintenance, compliance, and coordination of construction support services, facilities, and estate operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Estate & Infrastructure Management

Oversee day-to-day estate and site infrastructure operations of the interior designing and common facilities.

Ensure proper upkeep of civil structures, site offices, and other estate assets.

Plan and supervise repair, renovation, and maintenance works.

2. Construction Site Support

Coordinate with project and construction teams to provide estate-related support.

Ensure availability of basic site amenities such as water, power supply, sanitation, and waste management.

Manage temporary works, site camps, and access roads.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

Engage and supervise vendors/contractors for estate and civil maintenance works.

Prepare work orders, verify bills, and ensure quality of services delivered.

Monitor compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

4. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with local municipal, environmental, and safety regulations.

Maintain records of estate assets, maintenance schedules, and statutory clearances.

Assist in land documentation, estate records, and liaison with government authorities if required.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare budgets for estate maintenance, repair, and operations.

Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.

6. People & Stakeholder Management

Supervise housekeeping, security, and estate support staff.

Coordinate with internal teams (Admin, HR, Construction) for smooth estate functioning.

Act as the point of contact for estate-related grievances and issue resolution.


Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of civil works, construction practices, and maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Proficiency in using the CAD tools for designing & review purpose.

Hands-on experience in estate/facility management in a construction/project environment.

Vendor and contract management skills.

Knowledge of statutory compliance (municipal, safety, environmental).

Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
