Tool Room Engineer India 3 years INR 2.4 - 3.0 Lacs P.A. On-site Full Time

Key Responsibilities: Oversee tool maintenance activities including repair, modification, and upkeep of press tools. Manage new tool development from design to final assembly in coordination with vendors or in-house team. Operate and supervise the use of tool room machinery such as: Surface Grinding Drilling Machine Milling Machine EDM Wire Cut Machine Lathe and other conventional machines Ensure all tools and dies meet required dimensional and quality standards. Maintain tool history records and preventive maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot tool failures and minimize downtime in production. Liaise with production and quality departments for tool performance feedback and improvement. Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards in the tool room. Qualifications & Skills: ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of experience in tool maintenance and development in the sheet metal industry . Hands-on knowledge of tool room machines and fabrication practices. Ability to read technical drawings and precision measuring instruments. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities:Design sheet metal tools such as blanking, piercing, forming, and progressive dies as per component requirements. Prepare detailed tool drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidEdge preferred). Coordinate with approved tool vendors for development, manufacturing, and modifications of tools. Monitor tool development timelines and ensure adherence to project schedules. Conduct regular visits to vendors to supervise tool trials and approvals. Work closely with the production and quality teams for successful tool implementation. Maintain documentation of tool designs, revisions, vendor communications, and cost approvals. Troubleshoot tool-related issues and suggest design improvements. Qualifications & Skills:Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making. Minimum 3 years of experience in tool design and coordination for sheet metal press tools. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar CAD tools. Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and tooling standards. Strong project management and vendor coordination skills. Location: GIDC Por Ramangamdi, Vadodara
