About the Position: We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Product Development, Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Team Manager. This position is based at our office in Manesar. Your Responsibilities will be: Develop product concepts as well as part design and detailing using 3D software. Utilize NX11 & Catia design software to create detailed 3D models & drawings for mechanical components. Understand product life cycle process and drive engineering changes using PLM process (OnePLM) Collaborate with suppliers and internal operations teams for design feasibility check. Lead and contribute to the design and development of physical components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide innovative design solutions Perform various design calculation to ensure the product functionality, durability etc. Perform DFM, DFA analysis to ensure the product / component design. Perform Va/Ve activity to lower down the cost of the part. Perform DFMEA, DRBFM to address all possible failure of part during design phase. Prepare documentation related to design like Engineering BOM, comp. specification, comp. datasheet & various procedure etc. Conduct design review activity. Problem solving approach to analyze and resolve issues. Participate in RPA from R&D side. Basic understanding of Jira & Confluence Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of design processes. What Qualifications you will bring: BE / B-TECH (Mechanical Engineering) Other skills that we would welcome: Strong skill of GD & T and Tolerance Stack up Analysis. In depth knowledge and experience of DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Six Sigma Sound knowledge of Reverse Engineering, Benchmarking. Experience of testing and prototyping. Strong working knowledge of 2D, 3D CAD (Hands on experience on Unigraphics & Creo) and Teamcenter PLM. Able to demonstrate experience of working within design and development function.
