Job Description

  1. Email Marketing (E-commerce Focus)

  • Plan, execute, and optimize

    e-commerce email campaigns,

    including newsletters, promotional offers, product launches, seasonal sales, and brand communications
  • Own and manage

    automated e-commerce journeys

    such as:
  • Welcome & first-purchase journeys
  • Cart abandonment & browse abandonment
  • Post-purchase follow-ups (order confirmation, delivery updates, reviews)
  • Cross-sell, upsell, replenishment, and win-back flows
  • Coordinate with design and content teams to create

    conversion-focused email creatives and copies

  • Track and optimize e-commerce KPIs

    including open rate, CTR, conversion rate, revenue per email, and contribution to overall sales
  • Ensure best practices for

    email deliverability, list hygiene, consent management, and compliance


2.Retention & Lifecycle Marketing (E-commerce)

  • Own and execute

    customer retention strategies

    across

    email, WhatsApp, SMS, and push notifications

    for an e-commerce audience
  • Build customer segments based on:
  • Purchase behavior
  • Order frequency & recency (RFM)
  • Product/category interest
  • AOV and customer lifecycle stage
  • Plan and execute

    A/B tests

    on subject lines, offers, messaging, timing, and frequency
  • Drive improvements in

    repeat purchase rate, retention, AOV, and customer lifetime value (LTV)


3. CRM & Marketing Automation (Netcore or Similar Platforms)

  • Manage and optimize

    Netcore / WebEngage / MoEngage / CleverTap

    for e-commerce CRM workflows
  • Set up and manage:
  • Trigger-based campaigns (cart, browse, price drop, back-in-stock)
  • Promotional campaigns across WhatsApp, SMS, email, and push
  • Maintain

    clean customer data, audience lists, event tracking, and automation workflows

  • Coordinate with tech and product teams for:

  • Website & app event tracking

  • E-commerce integrations
  • Funnel and journey optimization

4. Performance Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with

    performance marketing teams

    to align CRM and retention efforts with paid campaigns
  • Support

    retargeting, exclusion audiences, and offer consistency

    across paid and owned channels
  • Improve post-click and post-conversion journeys to maximize

    ROAS and customer retention


5. Analytics & Data

  • Track and analyze performance across:
  • Email & CRM campaigns
  • Website behavior
  • E-commerce funnels
  • Use

    GA4, CRM dashboards, and internal reporting tools

    to derive actionable insights
  • Prepare

    weekly and monthly reports

    highlighting revenue contribution, learnings, and optimization recommendations


6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate efforts between

    retention marketing, social media, and performance marketing teams

    to ensure consistent messaging and offers
  • Work closely with

    design, content, tech, and product teams

    to deliver integrated e-commerce campaigns


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing with strong exposure to e-commerce retention & CRM

  • Hands-on experience with Netcore or similar e-commerce marketing automation platforms

  • Proven experience working on e-commerce flows such as cart abandonment, win-back, and post-purchase journeys

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce metrics

    : conversion rate, repeat purchase rate, AOV, LTV, churn
  • Experience with

    GA4, CRM dashboards, and performance marketing collaboration

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
