THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Engineer with proven experience in medium to high-voltage electrical systems, particularly for outdoor and agricultural applications. The role involves designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electric fencing solutions aimed at safely deterring animals (wild & domestic) from farmland, plantations, and rural assets.

The ideal candidate will understand both safety and regulatory compliance, power distribution, and rural environmental challenges while being comfortable working hands-on in field conditions.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Advanced Degrees/Diploma (Optional): A Master’s in Electrical/ Renewable Energy, Acoustics, or Electronics Systems can be an advantage.

Role and Responsibilities :

Innovation and Research

· Develop new electronics/electrical products or improve existing designs.

· Prior Research and Development (R&D) experience in agricultural products to scare animals, birds, insects and snakes.

Design & Development

· Develop safe, effective medium-high voltage electric fencing systems tailored for agricultural use.

· Design circuit systems, controllers, grounding mechanisms, pulse generators, and protective systems.

· Improve efficiency, reliability, and safety of current systems.

Testing and Troubleshooting

· Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.

· Carry out prototyping, power output testing, and performance optimization.

· Perform system diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical, electronics and hardware issues.

· Conduct performance tests and reliability assessments.

· Implement improvements for better functionality and efficiency.

Solar Panel Expertise:

-- Understanding of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including design and optimization.

-- Experience with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) and inverters.

-- Knowledge of solar energy storage systems and battery technologies.

Sound Technology:

-- Knowledge of audio signal processing, acoustics, and sound reproduction systems.

-- Characteristics of acoustics and sound waves including Wavelength, Pitch, Frequency, Amplitude, -- Intensity of sound power (measured in Decibels).

Operation & Maintenance

-- Establish safety standards, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance protocols.

-- Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures on-site and remotely.

-- Train farmers, technicians, and field teams on safe operation.

-- Supervise installation and commissioning at remote agricultural sites.

Duration: 6-9 Months contract

Experience

· At least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and electronics

· Hands-on experience in prototyping and testing electrical and solar systems.

· Experience with renewable energy standards and acoustic regulations.

· Basics of electrical and power electronics for interfacing solar systems and fencing machines.

· Noise reduction techniques in sound and solar applications.

· Awareness of environmental standards for electrical, solar installations and sound systems.

Soft Skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and teamwork abilities, especially when coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

· Project management skills for overseeing design, development, and implementation.

· Attention to detail and precision in design
