Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Revenue Growth

· Develop and execute end-to-end e-commerce growth strategies aligned with organizational goals.

· Own P&L for e-commerce channels, driving revenue, profitability, and contribution margins.

· Identify new business opportunities, alliances, and strategic partnerships across marketplaces and digital retail eco-systems.

2. Marketplace & Channel Management

· Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of key marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).

· Lead negotiations for annual terms, advertising budgets, visibility plans, and exclusive collaborations.

· Optimize product listings, pricing, assortment, and promotions for maximum conversion.

3. D2C Strategy & Growth

· Drive traffic, conversion, and retention on the D2C website through performance marketing, CRM, and funnel optimization.

· Collaborate with tech, product, and UI/UX teams to enhance customer experience.

· Implement data-driven decision frameworks for acquisition, AOV improvement, and repeat purchase rate.

4. Category Expansion & Product Strategy

· Analyze demand trends to recommend new product categories and expansion plans.

· Work closely with merchandising, supply chain, and NPD teams for inventory forecasting and product lifecycle management.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Manage and mentor a high-performing team across marketplace operations, marketing, cataloging, and analytics.

· Align with finance, supply chain, marketing, and creative teams for seamless execution of business plans.

6. Data & Analytics

· Track KPIs: revenue, contribution margin, ROAS, CPC, CTR, inventory fill rate, return rate, and customer lifetime value.

· Use data-driven insights to improve pricing, promotions, and assortment strategy.

· Perform competitive analysis and market benchmarking regularly.

7. Branding & Performance Marketing

· Plan and execute marketplace campaigns and brand collaborations.

· Work with internal/external marketing teams to optimize digital advertising budgets across channels.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field; MBA preferred.

· 8–15 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or business development.

· Proven track record of managing multimillion-rupee (or dollar) e-commerce revenue portfolios.

· Strong negotiation skills with experience dealing with major marketplaces.

· Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and marketplace dashboards.

· Leadership ability to drive performance and manage cross-functional teams.

· Strong understanding of performance marketing, SEO, CRM, and e-commerce logistics.
