Digital Power Factory Engineering Manager

 

Your Mission:

Build and lead a high-impact engineering team align with global strategy by

  1. Driving the team size and mix (Permanent / Contractors), competency and individual development plans in line with group strategy and request received from supporting entities.
  2. Collaborating across REP entities (Bratislava, Cairo, Delhi) to forecast workload and skill needs
  3. Setting clear goals, expectations and deviations when quoting services to clients
  4. Tracking and monitoring quotation requests ensuring timely costs for engineering resources are accurate and competitive.
  5. Managing quality process of delivered projects, identified country standards are adhered to, and lessons learned on projects are carried out.
  6. Standardizing tasks, tools, Templates and processes to maximize efficiency
  7. Centralizing knowledge capture from different projects and clients to continuously improve team efficiency
  8. Informing timely the management about project events impacting project performance, customer satisfaction or compliance with governance principles

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide monthly updates on team performance indicators such as budget usage, hiring progress, training activities, challenges faced, opportunities identified, and any roadblocks encountered.  
  2. Strengthen quality and validation processes in partnership with global teams.
  3. Scale Technical Capabilities to support new clients and increase factory adoption
  4. Through ALMA workload management tool ensure the right sizing of the team (including contractors and mix of seniority) to ensure the right structure, resources and competencies are available
  5. During deployment phase act as Single Point Of Contact ensuring tools, processes and feedback loops are in place.
    This responsibility can be transferred to senior team members once a critical mass of employees is reached.
  6. Support risk mitigation, variation order management and client communication.
  7. Leverage on existing Local / Regional / Global expertise to reinforce the technical know-how, be up to date with latest tools and initiative and actively build your network
  8. Develop close collaboration with GAC DP Management team to commonly develop technical tools for efficiency, Standard Templates and develop / pilot new Standard solutions.
  9. Willing to lead and / or participate on different transversal plans as specific KPI monitoring, case studies to Standardize work for new clients, testing platforms, etc.
  10. Customer Focus: Seek for continuous feedback via NSS or follow up meetings to continuously improve quality and deliverables, explore new solutions and detect and mitigate potential clashes for continuous optimization and improvement of the DP Factory model.

About You

  • 10-15 years of Experience including 5+ years working on Digital Power Solutions.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or management
  • Proven team management and project execution management skills.
  • Strong Technical Background on Schneider Electric EPMS Solutions.
  • +3 years of experience working on C&SP segment. Experience on other segments as utility, transport, renewables, energy and chemical, is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate (Written, verbal) clearly in concise and synthetic manner on complex technical Issues.
  • Passion for learning, coaching and driving change.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Resilient, adaptable and aligned with Schneider Electric’s Core Values
  • Ability to think out of the box and take decisions in complex and risky context.
