ABOUT THE ROLE

IFC Ventures is expanding its portfolio of skincare, beauty, and cosmetic brands across India. We are hiring a Distributor Sourcing Manager – Skincare & Cosmetics, responsible for building a strong national and regional distribution ecosystem.

The ideal candidate must have deep experience in sourcing, evaluating, onboarding, and managing distributors specifically for skincare, beauty, personal care, and cosmetic products and must understand the commercial, logistical, and regulatory requirements of distributing beauty categories in General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), beauty stores, pharmacies, and quick commerce channels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Distributor Identification & Onboarding (Skincare & Cosmetic Category Focus)

  • Identify, evaluate, and appoint distributors, super stockists, beauty distributors, cosmetic wholesalers, and channel partners across India.
  • Assess distributor capabilities, including beauty-channel experience, cold-chain or sensitive-product handling, regulatory compliance, manpower strength, and financial health.
  • Lead negotiations for commercial terms, margins, service-level agreements, and credit policies.
  • Ensure distributors meet brand requirements for skincare safety standards, handling protocols, and product shelf-life management.


2. Beauty & Skincare Distribution Network Development

  • Build, structure, and scale distribution networks for skincare, cosmetics, derma products, haircare, and wellness SKUs.
  • Expand reach across general trade, modern trade formats (beauty stores, cosmetic chains, and pharmacies), institutional beauty channels, and quick commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart).
  • Identify white spaces in high-potential regions and appoint relevant partners for penetration.
  • Develop and maintain a state-wise and city-wise distributor mapping for beauty and skincare categories.


3. Distributor Relationship & Business Performance Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with beauty distributors and drive consistent volume growth, coverage expansion, and availability.
  • Track key performance indicators, including primary sales, secondary sales, fill rates, order frequency, inventory health, and stock hygiene.
  • Conduct quarterly and monthly performance reviews, growth planning, and trade activation discussions.
  • Ensure beauty distributors follow storage, temperature, and hygiene standards essential for skincare and cosmetic products.


4. Market Expansion & Strategic Execution

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, category, and supply chain teams to execute distribution expansion plans for skincare brands.
  • Work with trade marketing teams to deploy POSM, testers, sampling kits, visibility assets, and promotional campaigns across distributors.
  • Analyze competitor brand distribution models in cosmetics, derma, and personal care categories and implement strategic improvements.
  • Strengthen presence within pharmacy retail, beauty retail chains, cosmetic wholesalers, and regional distributors.


5. Compliance, Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure all distributors comply with company policies, brand usage guidelines, MRP rules, expiry/shelf-life management, and regulatory practices.
  • Maintain complete documentation, including agreements, KYC, credit limits, performance reports, and financial discipline.
  • Submit regular reports on market insights, distributor performance, new territory development, and category-specific challenges.


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 4–10+ years of experience in distributor sourcing or channel development within the beauty, skincare, cosmetics, derma, personal care, or FMCG industries.
  • Proven track record of appointing and managing distributors for skincare & cosmetic products across geographies.
  • Strong understanding of GT, MT, beauty retail, pharma distribution, and quick commerce operations.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively for market visits, distributor audits, and expansion activities.
