About the Role

Distributor Sourcing Manager


Key Responsibilities

Distributor Identification & Onboarding

o Research, identify, and shortlist potential distributors, super stockists, and channel partners in target markets.

o Evaluate distributor capabilities, including financial strength, infrastructure, manpower, and market reach.

o Negotiate and finalize agreements with new distributors, ensuring favorable commercial terms.

Distribution Network Development

o Build and expand distribution networks across general trade, modern trade, institutional sales, and quick commerce platforms (Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart, etc.).

o Ensure the right mix of distributors to cover urban, semi-urban, and rural markets.

o Implement distributor mapping to identify white spaces and untapped territories.

Relationship & Performance Management

o Maintain strong relationships with distributors and key stakeholders to ensure business alignment.

o Monitor distributor performance metrics (sales targets, stock levels, service quality, secondary sales tracking).

o Drive distributor engagement through regular meetings, trade schemes, and performance reviews.

Market Expansion & Strategy Execution

o Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to execute market expansion strategies.

o Work with trade marketing teams to ensure distributors have the right support in terms of POSM, promotions, and campaigns.

o Analyze competitor distribution strategies and adapt accordingly.

Compliance & Reporting

o Ensure distributors adhere to company policies, brand guidelines, and regulatory compliance.

o Regularly report on distributor performance, market insights, and expansion progress to senior management.

o Track outstanding payments and credit limits and ensure financial discipline within the network.


Key Requirements

· Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.

FMCG, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, healthcare, or consumer goods distribution

building and managing distributor networks across regions

· Strong negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills.

· Willingness to travel extensively to identify and onboard distributors.
