Job Description

Role Summary The RMG Specialist/Lead is responsible for managing resource allocation across projects, optimizing workforce utilization, and ensuring the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time. This role is a critical link between delivery, talent acquisition, and HR teams to ensure smooth project execution and workforce agility. Key Responsibilities Resource Planning & Allocation: Collaborate with delivery managers and business units to understand project resource needs and allocate internal talent accordingly. Utilization & Bench Management: Monitor and report on resource utilization; manage bench strength and proactively deploy resources to avoid idle time. Demand Forecasting: Work with delivery and sales teams to forecast upcoming demand and create hiring plans in coordination with TA. Skill Mapping & Inventory Management: Maintain an updated database of employee skills and availability; align talent to appropriate assignments based on technical and domain fit. Internal Fulfillment: Prioritize internal movement of resources before raising external hiring requests; maintain internal mobility as a strategic pillar. Data & MIS Reporting: Generate regular reports on utilization, open demands, bench statistics, and deployment efficiency; present insights to leadership. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Delivery to enable project success and talent development. Compliance & Governance: Ensure all resourcing and deployment actions comply with internal policies and project-specific requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 18+ years of experience in resource management/workforce planning, preferably in an IT services or product engineering company. Excellent understanding of digital skill sets (e.g., cloud, full stack, data engineering). Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Skills Experience working in agile delivery environments. Familiarity with project management and workforce tools like SAP SuccessFactors, JIRA, or Salesforce. Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
