Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing build pipelines, deploying applications and maintaining server infrastructure to ensure continuous integration, delivery and high system availability. This role requires strong expertise in automation, configuration management and infrastructure monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Pipeline Management:`

  • Design, implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
  • Ensure seamless integration of code, automated testing and deployment workflows across various environments (dev, QA, staging, production).
  • Manage and optimize build systems for faster feedback loops and reduced deployment times.
  • Develop reusable pipeline templates and configurations to standardize DevOps practices across projects.

Server and Infrastructure Management:

  • Deploy, configure and manage Linux-based servers (on-premise or cloud) to support application hosting, data processing and monitoring tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot application servers, web servers, databases and other supporting infrastructure components.
  • Apply security patches, updates and system hardening practices to ensure the integrity of production systems.
  • Conduct regular system audits, capacity planning and performance tuning.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code in Git repositories.
  • Create self-service DevOps tools for development teams to accelerate environment setup and deployments.

Monitoring & Incident Response:

  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Zabbix or Cloud-native monitoring solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, availability and health using APM tools.
  • Develop dashboards to visualize key infrastructure metrics and application health.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA) and apply corrective/preventive actions.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Work closely with developers, testers and stakeholders to understand system requirements and deployment needs.
  • Promote DevOps best practices, foster a culture of automation and advocate for continuous improvement.
  • Document operational processes, infrastructure changes and deployment runbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role.
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with at least one major pipeline tool (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP including provisioning, managing and optimizing cloud resources.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or similar containerization/orchestration technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience working with microservices architecture and service meshes.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with service discovery, logging infrastructure and tracing tools (Jaeger, Zipkin)
  • Experience in regulated environments with exposure to compliance frameworks.
  • Full-time BE/BTech, ME/MTech, MCA, MSC in CS/IT

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
