Position Overview

The Dev Project Manager with 6-7years of experience will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of sprint-based projects within the development team. This role ensures that Agile methodologies are followed, sprint goals are met, and cross-functional collaboration drives continuous improvement. The Dev Project Manager is responsible for managing sprint cycles, removing impediments, and delivering value on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of sprint projects using Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Own the sprint lifecycle including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the sprint backlog.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between development teams, stakeholders, and other business units.
  • Track sprint progress and performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts, cycle time).
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies; proactively work with teams to resolve issues and keep sprints on track.
  • Coach team members on Agile principles and practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage scope, timeline, and resource constraints to meet project deliverables.
  • Prepare and present sprint reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment between business goals and technical execution.
  • Support the scaling of Agile practices across multiple teams if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven 6-7 years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master managing sprint projects in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum and Kanban.
  • Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
