Description

We are a reputed manufacturer of industrial pumps, seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Manager Design to join our team at Thane. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in mechanical design, machine part development, and project coordination with proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks.Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine components, pump parts, and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documents.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes to ensure cost-effective and efficient designs.
• Conduct and review engineering calculations for design validation.
• Ensure drawing accuracy, dimensioning, and tolerances as per industry standards.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct factory and customer site visits for design evaluation and issue resolution.
• Support R&D initiatives in developing new products as per technical and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with production, project, quality, and marketing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain and update design documentation, revision records, and BOMs.
• Approve technical documents of bought-out items and ensure compliance with ISO systems.
• Assist DGM Engineering in team supervision, progress tracking, and preparation of technical reports/presentations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the design team for continuous improvement in design quality and productivity.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering materials, and design standards.
• Experience in component-level design and equipment design.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality checks.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
