Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer Position Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Bhopal Department: Design & Development Reporting To: Manager Role Overview: The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems. The candidate will use cutting-edge tools and methodologies to ensure product efficiency, safety, and functionality. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in designing X-ray baggage scanners, Industrial ventilators, Coal benefaction plant or related equipment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or CREO. 2. Perform simulations and analyses using tools like ANSYS, MATLAB, or COMSOL to validate designs. 3. Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings and documentation following industrial standards. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure designs meet project requirements. 5. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product specifications and cost targets. 6. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mechanical design and implement best practices. 7. Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications and Skills: Education: 1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering (depending on the field). Certifications: 1. Certifications like CAD, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD are highly desirable. 2. Specialized certifications such as Six Sigma, FEA, or other industry-relevant tools (optional). Technical Skills: 1. Proficiency in CAD Software: Expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, or similar tools. 2. Analysis Software Knowledge: Familiarity with simulation tools like ANSYS, MATLAB, or COMSOL. 3. Material Science and Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of materials, processes (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining), and industrial standards. 4. Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Ability to perform complex calculations and analyses for design optimization. 5. Programming Knowledge (Optional): Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python or MATLAB for automation or simulation purposes. Soft Skills: 1. Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think out of the box and develop unique design solutions. 2. Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision and accuracy in designs to prevent errors. 3. Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical designs to non-technical stakeholders. 4. Project Management: Organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. 5. Team Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience: 1. Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design. 2. Knowledge Sharing and Training - Training Hours Delivered: Total hours spent conducting training sessions for team members. - Mentorship Feedback Score: Evaluation ratings from mentees regarding the quality and effectiveness of mentorship.
