What will you be doing?
The BI Engineer II will be collaborating with team members to create rich reporting and data visualizations, enabling leaders to quickly digest information and make decisions. You will use your understanding of data visualization, analytics, and statistics to communicate valuable insights that enable functional leaders to quickly digest information and make decisions.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize the business intelligence enterprise development suite to create, maintain and publish reports, dashboards, scorecards, and other visual information displays through front end interfaces as well as through application and database programming.
- Collaborate with team members to understand business insight needs from clients, product teams, and other commercially facing business units, and how those needs translate to functional requirements.
- Write stable, abstracted, reusable, and efficient code.
- Design and utilize automation methods and discover efficiencies where possible.
- Work with managers to identify and understand data visibility gaps.
- Provide content to our dataviz knowledge base.
- Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in BI, Reporting, and Visualizations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in the data/BI space.
- Degree or equal work experience in Computer/Data Science, Technology and/or other related fields; advanced degrees and/or specializations a plus.
- Experience in one or more business intelligence technologies, with the ability to visualize and report data insights clearly.
- Thrives in a diverse team. Collaborates well with team members, colleagues, and clients.
- Passion for data and its fundamental ability to create value.
- Good communicator able to articulate concepts to peers, clients, and managers.
- Continuous learner, expanding current skillset as well as new technologies identified by the business.
- Proven development skills in Business Intelligence tools, including, but not limited to, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, and Tableau. Experience in Circana tools Unify+, Genius Script, and Intelligence Suite preferred.
- Demonstrated experience building measures and metrics, defining custom dimensions and tuning performance for a superior user experience.
- Experience in Power Platform including Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Fluent in SQL, Pyspark, R, Python, or Scala.
- Experience in agile development teams such as scrum and Kanban, as well as DevOps development environment.
- Understanding of database structure principles required.
- Preferred experience Javascript and/or CSS experience.
