Job Description

We’re seeking a proactive and technically adept Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our fintech products, cloud environments, and sensitive financial data from cyber threats. This role will design, deploy, monitor, and improve security measures across our systems, ensuring strict compliance and operational resilience in the fast-paced fintech space.

Key Responsibilities

Security Infrastructure Management

· Design, implement, and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption to secure digital assets.

· Conduct regular patch management, system hardening, and vulnerability assessments to minimize security risks.

Threat Detection and Incident Response

Analyze security alerts, and respond to incidents to contain risks and reduce impact.

Continuously improve threat intelligence capabilities and update response playbooks.

Compliance and Governance

Ensure all technical security safeguards meet relevant fintech regulatory and compliance standards (PCI DSS, RBI, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Work closely with compliance teams for technical security documentation, audits, and certifications.

Secure Architecture & DevSecOps

Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Perform code scans, application security assessments, and regularly test fintech solutions for security weaknesses.

Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Develop and enforce IAM and privileged access protocols.

Automate and monitor user provisioning, onboarding, and deprovisioning processes.

Third-Party and Vendor Security Assessments

Assess and manage security risks for external vendors, APIs, payment gateways, and other third-party integrations.

Establish and enforce vendor cybersecurity requirements and periodic reviews.

Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track and report on vital security metrics (incident response times, vulnerabilities resolved, audit findings, etc.).

Research evolving threats and technologies to recommend process or tool enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

3-7 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering role, preferably in financial services or fintech.

Proficient with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Cloud Security (AWS/GCP/Azure), and DevSecOps.

Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks relevant to fintech.

Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit processes.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with policy-as-code (e.g., OPA, Sentinel).

· Knowledge of container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

· Certifications: CEH, CISSP, CISM, AWS Security, OSCP, or equivalent.
