Credit Manager

Job Title: Credit Manager Retail & Digital Lending

Location: Mohali

Experience: 5-8 years (preferred in Banking/NBFC/Digital Lending)

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and Underwrite loan applications of Personal Loan, Business Loan, LAP, Car and Two wheeler Loans and digital lending products.

Analyze financial statements, income documents, bank statements, and repayment capacity of applicants and preparing CAM.

Evaluate collateral quality (for secured loans) and conduct risk assessment.

Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory guidelines.

Maintain TAT (Turnaround Time) and quality standards in underwriting

Perform detailed financial and credit analysis using Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Data Modelling, etc.).

Ensure adherence to credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and risk management frameworks.

Prepare credit assessment reports, MIS and present insights to senior management.

Manage and support digital loans underwriting, collaborate with product and technology teams to automate credit assessment workflows, leverage data from digital journeys (eKYC, bureau, bank statements, alternate data), and enhance decision-making efficiency.

Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure smooth end-to-end processing.

Liaise with external agencies (valuers, legal firms, FI agencies, etc.)

Manage Delinquency and monitor portfolio performance to minimise delinquencies.

Requirements:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce or CA Intermediate or related field with good communication skills and willingness to travel.

Expertise in MS Excel / Advanced Excel (mandatory).

5-8 years of experience in credit evaluation, underwriting, or risk management in BFSI/NBFC/Digital Lending.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Good knowledge of financial statements, credit policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Exposure to digital lending platforms and automation tools will be an added advantage.
