Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Credit Assessment: Evaluate retail loan applications based on creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and compliance with internal credit policies.
2. Underwriting: Perform detailed financial analysis of borrowers and recommend credit decisions within delegated authority limits.
3. Risk Management: Identify potential credit risks in proposals and suggest risk mitigants; ensure portfolio quality through periodic reviews.
4. Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit recommendations.
5. Process Improvement: Collaborate with sales, operations, and risk teams to streamline credit approval processes and improve turnaround time.
6. Team Collaboration: Guide junior credit officers, ensure consistency in underwriting decisions, and contribute to skill development.
7. MIS & Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and policy deviations.
8. Coordination: Liaise with legal, technical, and verification agencies to ensure accuracy and reliability of documentation and field checks.
