Cost Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Analyst / Data Analyst to join a

manufacturing company specializing in paper cups and paper bags. The ideal candidate will

possess strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and some exposure

to procurement processes.

The company uses its own in-house ATS (Automated Tracking System) for managing

product costing. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate cost records

within the system, ensuring that product pricing is aligned with raw material consumption

and profitability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze cost-related data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
• Maintain and update cost models using the company’s internal ATS system.
• Ensure raw material usage is accurately reflected in product costing (e.g., if a product
• uses ₹40 worth of raw material, ensure the sale price is set appropriately and not
• underpriced).
• Assist in procurement by analyzing vendor data and supporting supplier evaluations.
• Use Advanced Excel tools (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc.) to analyze and
• interpret large datasets.
• Prepare and present reports highlighting key insights for management.
• Collaborate with various departments to support pricing, planning, and purchasing
• decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience as a Cost Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
• Strong knowledge of cost structures and procurement data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Education:

MBA / PGDM in Finance, Operations, or related fields.
