Cost Analyst

As the Product Costing Specialist, you will be responsible for owning the calculation of Direct Product Cost (DPC) and representing the product costing function within the Change Management Organization (CMO). You will collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Development, and INDU team to assess changes in product cost and actively engage in New Product Development (NPD) projects from a costing perspective. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for reducing DPC through global benchmarking activities and support the pricing manager in defining pricing strategies. Furthermore, you will be tasked with generating cost reduction opportunities by comparing different product lines, coordinating with global costing colleagues on relevant topics, and regularly preparing DPC reports along with cost driver-wise GAP analysis reports. You will also be responsible for forecasting DPC for upcoming Change Periods (CP) for KW management and actively participating in Cost-out projects. In this role, you will have the authority to prepare and present business cases to the management and review topics related to direct product costs. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering, with an optional certification in Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA). You should have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in product costing, a strong understanding of Zero-Based costing for various commodity parts, and experience in sourcing and supplier development. Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) project cost assessment is also preferred. Proficiency in SAP MM, Excel-based costing, knowledge of different commodity parts cost estimation and analysis, experience with Power Bi/Data Analytics, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are essential professional skills required for this role.,
